Femto-Wavefront LASIK - 2nd Generation


We can offer femto-wavefront LASIK in both hospitals.

LASIK treatment consists basically of 2 stages:

  1. 1. Cutting and folding back the corneal flap
  2. 2. Refractive treatment using the laser (standard or wavefront technique)

The microkeratome technique has been used successfully over the last 15 years for stage 1. However, the last two years or so has seen the arrival of a laser technique, the so-called femto-method, for this stage.

As a leading international surgeon Dr. Sinan Göker and Prof. Kaskaloglu have of course been well aware of this technique for several years now and used the new technology sucessfully.

The advantage of the femto procedure is that the flap can be cut with much greater precision.
 
In Istanbul Surgery Hospital the Femtec-Laser ist used, in the Izmir Kaskaloglu Hospital an IntraLase FS60 ist used. Both lasers representhe newest technologie.
