Wearing glasses or contact lenses is not always problem-free.      

Glasses may impede movement in recreational or sporting pursuits. Cosmetic or psychological aspects may have a negative impact on one's well-being. Annoying irritation or allergies to cleaning agents may make contact lenses incompatible.

If the following criteria apply to you, refractive laser surgery may be a real alternative for you.


  • Astigmatism of not more than +6 or -6 dioptres

  • Nearsightedness not in excess of -10 dioptres

  • Farsightedness up to +7 dioptres

  • Your refractive error should be stable

  • You should be at least 18 years old

  • You should not suffer from any eye diseases (e.g. cataracts or glaucoma)

  • You should not have any systemic diseases, e.g. rheumatism

  • In the case of allergy sufferers, surgery should take place in the
    allergy-free period

  • In addition, surgery should not be performed during pregnancy or the
    lactation period

  •  It ist not allowed to wear hard contactlenses four weeks and soft
    contactlenses two weeks before treatment
